About Scrive

Scrive is the partner through which EverReal provides the qualified electronic signature (QES). A QES is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature and requires a qualified certificate from a certified trust service provider. For all other contracts EverReal uses its own advanced electronic signature (AES, in German FES).

How the collaboration works

1

Create the contract in EverReal

You create the lease in EverReal as usual.

2

Signature to match the form

Where the advanced signature is not legally sufficient, the contract is signed with a QES through Scrive.

3

Qualified certificate

The QES is based on a qualified certificate from a certified trust service provider.

What you get

Written form, digitally

Contracts that require written form, such as commercial leases, fixed-term leases over one year or index and graduated rents, can also be signed digitally.

Equivalent to a handwritten signature

The QES is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature.

Two signature types, one process

For all other contracts EverReal's own advanced signature is available.

Limits of the connection

A QES is not permitted for transactions that must be notarised, such as the purchase of land (§ 311b BGB). If in doubt about which signature a contract needs, check with your tenancy lawyer.
